Re: Firefox killed the music
i have encountered this too..
videos in chromium (youtube etc.) often do not play.. and have no sound.
firefox will play visuals in the video to some extent, with no sound and then a crash.
chromium (Version 35.0.1916.114 Built on Debian 7.1, running on Debian jessie/sid (270117))
firefox 30
pulseaudio has from time to time been using most of the 4 cores of the CPU and also one of the mate processes (i think it is mate-settings-daemon) does similar.
so far, i have no solution. i just reboot and sometimes the audio returns.
