can we install GPG Vers. 2.0 into our LMDE systems?
if so how do we go about it?
or if it is going to be standard in the up-comming LMDE/MINT LTS system then I think I'll wait and get the whole package;
(
there is some chatter on the ENIGMAIL list about dropping Vers 1.4
)

Package is called gnupg2 in Debian testing, so I guess that would be also the package available in LMDE.

yep: I found it..... reading the man page for "gpg". all i have to do is use "gpg2" rather than "gpg". which means the ENIGMAIL people should have access to GPG2 although they might need to provide an option in preferences. I might mention this, next time I'm chatting on their list.xenopeek wrote:Package is called gnupg2 in Debian testing, so I guess that would be also the package available in LMDE.
Code: Select all

I had to specifically install gnupg2. Enigmail is working again.
