how to chance system language in lmde?

Post by kuhitsu »

So, either I'm bad at searching or something, but I don't find the usual gnome way to make my system Finnish.
I would like to know the easiest way to chance OpenOfficen to work in Finnish and firefox spell-check.

sorry, I have lot's of difficulties to make English today.

Re: how to chance system language in lmde? - ITALIAN

Post by benny59 »

Hi you all,

I installed LMDE as a "production" system on my laptop. I invested some time and trouble on my LAST installation, I believe the rolling edition will be the right direction.

Here are my still existing troubles:
- I installed the system in italian and I don't see applications automatically updated to my language (i.e. Thunderbird) is there any automatic way to align the languages to all the applications ?

- I'd like to install ubuntuone is somehow possible ?

regards
benny

no you*ll have to manually download the correct language packs for thunderbird and firefox I think. At least I had to - they are in the lmde repos.
As far as ubuntuone goes you might want to think about using something with an ubuntu base instead of lmde if you really want to use that (does it work at all meanwhile?)
With lmde you might want to consider dropbox or spideroak.
