Restoring LMDE's GDM3 Background?

Post by VtPoet » Sat Oct 16, 2010 5:21 pm

Hi Folks,

I guess I know just enough about Linux to be dangerous.

When I installed LMDE and updated the software, I unthinkingly allowed the upgrade to replace LMDE's GDM3. So, I now get the standard Debian (blue) background when logging in.

Not a big deal; but how do I restore LMDE's GDM background? Thanks in advance...

Thanks leonbnu.

This time I made a backup of my customized config.

I still get flashes of minty green before my screen settles into my more mellow palette, but also having the distinct Debian colour scheme flickering in the mix was a little too much to bear... 8)

where is your background file? if it's in your home directory, try to mv it to /usr/lib/backgrounds
