Folders have disappeared

Post by Bluebris »

Hey,
i hope someone can help me with this, it's a bit weird.

I'm using LMDE on a 64 bit machine. Acer Aspire 5742. It's run like a dream for months. I was trying to type something like /home/ into the terminal and it accidentally appears to have typed into nautilus before i realised. After that, all but one folder (desktop) has disappeared from my home folder. No documents, downloads, music, etc, etc. They've all vanished. I hope to god they haven't disappeared....

Can anyone help? A search has found no signs of them, and there was a ton of stuff i needed in there....

What other information is needed to help with this?

Many thanks.
