Hi,
I have a problem that Google Chrome crashes every time after I boot up my laptop. Then I force quit it and when I start it the second time veerything works alright.
I also tried running it from Terminal to see the error messages but there's none, even when it's crashing.
I'm using 64-bit LMDE. Doesn't matter if Compiz is on or using Metacity.
Any ideas?

Re: Chrome crashes after first start
Hi
Did you download Chrome from the Google site?
I am running the version from software manager (Chromium) on LMDE 32 and have not experienced any problems.

No, I added the official Google repostitory and installed google-chrome-unstable package (currently version 11).

Try this!
Code: Select all
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/flashplugin-installer/libflashplayer.so /usr/lib/chromium-browser/plugins
Re: Chrome crashes after first start
@rezz: I'm using Chrome, not Chromium so I don't have that folder.
Anyway, why do you think copying Flashplayer to Chrome's folder would help? I don't think that the crash is related to Flash because it only happens at the first start (no Flash sites open, nothing).
Also AFAIK Chrome has built in Flash.
