Having a hard time with my micro SD card

It plugs in to the regular SD card reader with an adapter, tried it in win7 to make sure it wasn't a hardware problem, so it works. EDIT: when plugged into the ereader it reads as /media/6A83-0527 and the ereader as a separate drive

I'm using fat 32, for that is what the ereader is using. It's funny when ported to the ereader the system finds it, but not when using the SD micro adapter in the SD reader, I've been thinking it is a driver issue for the adapter that lets me use the SD reader for the micro SD card.

Been using the 8gb SD micro card for movies, music and pictures and the built in memory for ebooks. Didn't know I could listen to mp3s while reading, before I bought it. The user manual told me it would play flv videos, but the video converter I was using for my Walkman told me it would play m4v files also. Still looking for a good video converter for Linux.

The SD micro card is only the size of my little finger nail, it slips into the SD adapter so it will fit in the SD card reader.

Strange. SD and micro SD are pretty much the same apart from the physical size.
My guess is that your adapter doesn't pass all the connections through. I had two adapters, one worked 100% and the other was intermittent. ( went to ewaste )
The way I use to check out memory cards is to re-format to ext2. Then format back to fat32 and see if it is recognised.
If it works OK under ext2, but not fat32 you at least know that the HW is OK.

Well I finally found someone willing to lend me a SD Card to bench with, and now I believe it probably has something to do with the ums_eneub6250 mod just not driving my ENE SD Card reader correctly. For if I plugin any other device to read the SD card the card is read correctly.

It's beyond my knowhow at the moment to try to build a keucr mod for the newer kernel and replace the ums_eneub6350 mod with it.[then only a maybe it will work]

From what I've seen so far, there are still a lot of problems with this card reader. And the kernel developers are under the delusion that it was install on a few machines anyway. If they would bother to do as the rest of us and actually have to research a problem they would see how more widely spread the problem is in numerous systems of this class.

From what I've seen though the Linux Kernel bug site seems to go to the same school for etiquette as the Debian site, of course they are a little better by blaming the hardware manufacturer and not the stupid posters.
