[SOLVED] My Firefox Can't Say It's lower-case "m"'s

I installed the XFCE edition of the LMDE last night on my old Dell Inspiron lappie. Did a dist-upgrade with (seemingly) no problems.

There's something odd going on in Firefox though. Every instance of the letter "m" is messed up (see attached screenshot):

(It upgraded to 9.0.1 during the dist-upgrade--not sure if this was happening in v5...)

Any idea what could be going on there--or how to fix it?

Strange. The only idea i have is, do you have the package ttf-mscorefont-installer installed and tried fonts of it?

Well, I just installed ttf-mscorefonts-installer, started up Firefox, and voila! :D
I didn't change any settings in Firefox, nor any system font settings...

Thanks for the suggestion!
