Having trouble with Display compatability in VM

Post by Data30 »

Main components to my issue Win 7, Display driver, NOX, Bluestacks

Hello and an advance Thank you for any help provided.

Issues is I can't seem to get Nox7.????? or Bluestacks 5 to run in a VM Win 7 Pro I keep getting a display incompatibility issue, I've already tried switching on 3D graphics and back off using the Add-On guest disk for Virtual box. I've attached screenshots of the Nox and Bluestacks errors for reference. I've also imaged and ran the disc of the video support drivers for windows inside the VM.

As a side note outside the main scope of this post I've also attempted AnBox with No success.

Once again, Thank you for any and all help.

Hi,

Virtual Box has very limited 3d graphics capability. Concerning OpenGL, it is limited to OpenGL 2.1 in the most recent versions, or to OpenGL 1.2 in former ones.

The size of video RAM allowable to the VM is also very limited (128 MB).

At the opposite, with VMware Workstation Player you can have OpenGL 3.3 and no RAM limitations (1 GB recommended, you can go further).

See a tutorial about 3d graphics acceleration in Vmware here: viewtopic.php?f=42&t=362350

Regards,

MN
