Re: W7 32bit alongside W7 64bit
After a few attempts Ii got W7 32 bit running.
Probably a setting in VB I forgot, don't know.
Anyway it works.

Re: W7 32bit alongside W7 64bit
A few hours now I'm working on network connection between W7-32bit and Linux, Did,not succeed.
The 64bit version was a matter of seconds, I give up...sigh...!

Re: W7 32bit alongside W7 64bit
W7 default samba protocol is smb1. There are several threads in the networking section about how to connect W7, and it can be done. Because smb1 is deprecated its not as straightforward as opening the network manager. I say it can be done because I have w10 and 32 and 64 bit w7 vm`s on my network. I cheated by reverting all samba shares to smb1, but there are better, but not as simple, ways
And I notice that your W7 network adapter is set to NAT. It must be set to 'bridged' in order to network local

Re: W7 32bit alongside W7 64bit
not fully understanding why you would choose a 32 bit install option on a 64 bit platform
Everything in life was difficult before it became easy.

I know it has to be set to bridged, but as I did not succeed I've tried changing a few parameters in VB to see if ...Reddog1 wrote: ⤴Sun May 29, 2022 12:14 am W7 default samba protocol is smb1. @ all41 , because that little software only runs in a 32bit system.
