qemu on Mint 13

Post by turboscrew » Thu Jun 12, 2014 7:31 pm

I tried to search, but:
The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: qemu.
(Something should be done to the search. Most Linux commands are "too short".)

So, which version of qemu would be best on 32-bit Mint 13 (MATE) for a small RTOS debugging?
Where do I get ist, and how do I install it?

I could probably use virtualbox, is I got the "right" version and some advice how to install it and how to
debug with it. (The newer versions are supposed to have built-in debugger.)

Any other good suggestions for virtual machine to be used for debugging?
(I understand that VMWARE player doesn't support debugging, and the VMWARE server is no more available.)
I have also 64-bit AMD (x86-64) machine running 32-bit Ubuntu 14.04 if someone comes up with VM software
that could be used for debugging i386-RTOS (virtualbox or qemu doesn't seem to work).

The information you seek is well over my head

But, I can tell you that if you enter this

Code: Select all

site:forums.linuxmint.com qemu
into the search box of your favourite search engine then you will be able to search these forums for qemu and get relevant results :)
