Hello,
Today I saw in my / directory a very new folder that have not exist until now - /proc.
Why it appeared?
What is this folder and what will happen if I delete it?

Re: about /proc folder
I'm sure that has been there all along. It is a virtual file system with kernel and process information. It provides a window into the Linux kernel. Do not try to delete it!
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they ain't.
