ASUS X79 PRO Will not resume after suspend

When I use suspend and try and wake it up it spins up but the video card Nvidia GTX780 does not seemm to output the signal. I am using Nvidias latest drivers as I always do and dont understand why this not so old PC is not able to suspend although it may be a BIOS??? any help would be appreaciated. I ditched Windows after 20 years of fixing other peoples problems and love linux but I need to save some power bills as our electricity is a ripofff in Northern Cal.

What does this have to do with virtualization? It looks like a hardware issue, but on this sub-forum you will likely not get much answers.

The virtualization section is not the right place to ask about suspend, unless you run Linux in a VM.
