thought so too so too.
Meanwhile tried it out by part building qemu/kvm as 'aqemu' was giving problems and kvm too was not smooth. corrected hardware virtualization as active through bios.
iso's were downloaded from the original sites with 32 bit versions:
Fedora-Workstation-Live-i386-25-1.3.iso
linuxmint-18.1-kde-32bit.iso
manjaro-xfce-17.0.1-stable-i686.iso
here are the results, though manjaro still gives the same 'kernel not available' thing.no clue how to try that out.
