I'm trying to open the latest 64 bit version of linux mint cinnamon edition in oracle vm and am encountering an error: VFS: Unable to mount root vs on unknown-block(0,0).
main os spec: windows 10 home 64 bit 4gigs ram 500gig hard drive intel celeron 2.16 ghz/sec.

Alas, I'm not enough of a power user to troubleshoot your problem, but will confirm I had no trouble installing Cinnamon 18.2 to VirtualBox 5.1.26 in Win10. Had to install guest additions and enable 3D acceleration to get proper rendering, but it booted even without that. Out of curiosity, are you running into the error when booting the live image or after install?
