[solved ] VMware 14 recovering VM

Post by deepakdeshp »

Hello,
I accidentally deleted a VM running under VMware workstation 14. Is there any way to undelete the vmdk files?
Host is Mint 18.2 and Guest is RHEL (Red Hat)
Thanks for any help

Hi,

If files were on a regular HDD, then data recovery software is probably the next step Testdisk -> Photorec?

The files were on NTFS hence Windows boot recovery software was able to get the files back.
