Kernel 15.1 mainline breaks USB device passthrough to VM

Post by bingbong65 »

System specs (using Kernel 15 RC-2): https://gist.github.com/anonymous/de746 ... 6bca84aa8b

My VM is setup in Virt Manager and it is running Windows 10.

I have to use Ukuu to update to kernel 15 RC-2 to get this setup to work. I tried updating to Kernel 15 mainline and 15.1 mainline and both caused issues where once loaded into the VM, none of my usb devices passed through. When I switch inputs back to my host, all of my usb devices work, so they're definitely failing to passthrough.

Let me know what other info you might need.

It's a mainline kernel, which means two things. A) It's not for production, and B) you're on your own. You're better off to go back to a supported kernel and try again.
