Hi,
I want to use KVM with libvirt an Virtual Machine Manager. I have 2 pools, one with my iso's and one on an usb-hdd where i store my FILENAME.qcow2 file.
I create the qcow2 with 300Gb filesize.
I start using VMM (as my regular user) add my iso, select RAM and CPU, select my custom storage (the qcow2 file) and than i get a message:
Der Emulator besitzt ggf. keine Suchberechtigungen für den Pfad «/media/gdecke/data/data-pool/windows-imc.qcow2». ( The emulator may not have search permissions for the path "/media/gdecke/data/data-pool/windows-imc.qcow2". )
"do you want to correct it?" -> YES -> i get next error " / media / gdecke: [Errno 1] Operation not allowed: '/ media / gdecke'"
The permissons were root:root 777 for the qcow2 file.
So i manualy adjust these to my user "gdecke" with 777 .
After that i could set the name of the VM and by clicking NEXT i'm in the mainmenu for my VM (because i activate the ceckbox " adjust settings before installation")
I see there my Virtual HD with the source path and everythings seems to be okay.
Than i will to begin the installation and i get this here:
Installation konnte nicht fertiggestellt werden: «Cannot access storage file '/media/gdecke/data/data-pool/windows-imc.qcow2' (as uid:64055, gid:133): Keine Berechtigung»
( Unable to complete installation: Can not access storage file /media/gdecke/data/data-pool/windows-imc.qcow2 (as uid: 64055, gid: 133): No permission » )
Even if i change permission to uid64055 (libvirt-qemu and gid133 = kvm the permissions after trying to start the installation are again at root:root 777 for the windows-imc.qcow2 file.
Does someone has any hints or sugestions for me?
