I installed wine on mint in the vmware. After I try to reboot and mint can't boot again. The process stopped somewhere along the line.
How can I get it back.

- Make & Model No of your machine.
- which Desktop Environment of LinuxMint, that you are currently using.
and a description of what you did, and where you obtained that method if installing ./wine 3.0

Am not given any error message. After installing wine 3.0. On Linux mint 18.3 in vm ware. I reboot and when it get to where It will require password. The screen goes black and nothing works again

did you Set a Restore Point in the VMware software ?
ie: do you have any way to back-out of the current system ?.
