iCloud on VMWare/VirtualBox problems

Post by Shrav »

Hi all,
Mint 18.3 with both VMware and VirtualBox VMs running Win 8.1 and 7 and same problem. I want to run iCloud so my pictures can sync with my drive. Folders are on a separate NTFS drive that is mounted. Shares set up in samba and in the VMs. I can read/write to the shares from either flavour of Windows on either VM. I can pick the upload/download/shared iCloud locations during its setup but when I hit apply, it complains the folders have moved and can't be written to.
Normally I try to remember to dual boot into Windows from time to time to get my iCloud photos synced locally, but if I can get this working I won't need to.
Does anyone have any idea why this isn't working?
Thanks in advance!
