I have installed linux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon on my vmware vm, and I am using docked laptop (win 10) with 2 screens and max resolution.
On laptop, it is 1920x1080, and on screen it is 4k res.
however, linux mint doesn't offer me any of those resolutions, and I tried to find some ways to add a new mode, but none of them worked.
does anyone know how to add another resolutions? btw, OS didn't recognize host graphic card, nor the screen, and another vm (centos) does the scaling pretty well..
tnx

Is the result the same when you boot from Live UsB and test?
