Can a guest VB OS be installed from USB? If so how? (Solved)

Post by farkas »

I can install a guest OS from DVD.
I'm trying to install one from USB ISO.
VB Version 5.2.22 r126460 (Qt5.9.5)
Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack 5.2.22r126460
In LM 19 Users and Groups vboxusers is present.
In VB settings I can select USB 2.0 or 3.0.

Searched for solution but I couldn't find answer.
I was thinking about getting a new laptop but a lot of them don't have optical drives.
I had couple of my previous problems solved with help from the Mint community, thanks to all.

You don't need to install a VirtualBox guest OS from a DVD or USB. You can install it directly from wherever you downloaded the ISO file:

Please add a [SOLVED] at the end of your original subject header if your question has been answered and solved.
