Vbox / UEFI / KVM /

Post by EdB »

My PC is currently set as legacy boot, and I have W7 and a couple of Linux systems available for booting, all on separate device. I am thinking about trying out some of this pass-through stuff so as not to have to reboot. I also have a bunch of VM's that I use for various purposes. Reading the tutorial at the top of this page, UEFI is the recommended way to go for configuring pass-through

So, let's suppose I change my BIOS from legacy to UEFI.
  • Would I break my current W7 and Linux boots?
  • If they break, would I have to reinstall or could I just reset the bios back to legacy?
  • Would the VM's I currently have be broken? (I use Virtual Box, in case that matters)
