(Solved) The full videos still cannot be played although guest Windows is in VirtualBox on Mint.

Post by Matthew_Wai »

On this "myTV SUPER" website, only trailers can be played on Mint, but the full videos cannot. The full videos can be played for free on Windows 10. I have already installed guest Windows 10 in VirtualBox on Mint, but the full videos still cannot be played on the guest OS. How can the problem be solved? Is there a workaround?

Note: myTV SUPER service is only available in Hong Kong, where I am.

I have Windows, UnionTech OS, and Linux Mint on the same HDD.

On another forum, thanks to the member "zex", I found a simple solution: "Enable 2D Video Acceleration" under "Display" in Windows settings in VirtualBox as shown below. The videos cannot be played on host Mint because Mint does not support "2D Video Acceleration". I suppose so. Any objection?
