I have never used virtualization and wonder if you who are experienced at it can tell if this can easily be done on mint cinnamon: It is 3D X-ray viewing software that can display my X-rays so I can make still shots of important views. The software only comes in Mac and Windows versions. I tried to look at it on a Windows computer, but it wanted me to install it and I did not have permissions on that machine. Can I accomplish running the SW in virtualization and making my snapshots from there? Or are there some 3D file format converters that would make the X-ray images readable to a linux-based 3D modeling program if those exist? The software is called Planmeca Romexis Viewer. Thanks.

the only thing that you could try out,
is to see if you can actually get the Windows version to run / install under the ./wine environment.

What recommendations should I make if feedback never comes?
You can correct me, recommend other programs, etc. - but it is frustrating not to hear anything at all.

I see this as a discussion forum that lives from sharing experiences...
