Big part of the reason for moving away from Win 10 is Win 10's 'telemetry' <ahem: spying>.
At the moment I have a Win 10 machine that I've loaded with VirtualBox and LM20 (in VirtualBox).
How much of my LM20 activity can Win 10 find out about and report to Microsoft? Can Win 10 send the telemetry it normally does for Win 10 only even though 90% of my activity is on my virtual LM 20 machine? Once I'm more comfortable with LM20, I'll look at dual booting the two systems ....which should fully isolate each OS' activity.
PS - I also start up a VPN while Win 10 is booting. Thank you.
How sneaky is Win 10 when hosting VirtualBox ??

The answer is it can't 'see' anything in the VM but you may want to check out O&O Shut Up 10 to deal with the W10 telemetry stuff, it's what I use on my gaming rig.
I’ll tell you a DNS joke but be advised, it could take up to 24 hours for everyone to get it.

If guns don't kill, then OxyContin doesn't either, heroin isn't addicitve and fairy tales are real.

it shouldn't be able to 'see' anything that resided in an VirtualBox
but it still can Transmit it's Telemetry about anything else . .
