Hi, I have previously been running virtual machines in QEMU/KVM with no issues on my Linux Mint computer. However, that's some time ago, before the latest upgrade. Now I can no longer connect my VM's to the LAN, like they were physical computers connected to the same LAN.
In Virtual Machine Manager -> Edit -> Connection Details -> Virtual Networks:
I click +
The "Create virtual network" window appears.
I leave the name as is, and change Mode to Open.
In IPv4 configuration: I tick "Enable IPv4", and enter the network ID for the LAN intranet "172.16.0.0/16", and de-select the "Enable DHCPv4" as my LAN already has DHCP.
I click Finish, and get this error message (see attached screenshot): Error creating virtual network: Internal error: Network is already in use by interface...
Of course that network ID is already in use by the network interface, otherwise my computer wouldn't connect to anything
So, any ideas?
It's running Linux Mint 21 Cinnamon 5.4.12
