I bought an external Wi-Fi adapter for some network tests in VirtualBox - Kali Linux and when I plugged it into Kali Linux, it didn't see the networks at first, but then I solved this problem by installing the drivers, but this time it won't connect to the networks. I could never solve this problem.
My wifi adapter chipset is : RTL8188FTV

Re: VirtualBox sees Wi-Fi adapter networks in Kali Linux but does not connect
Assuming the Kali Linux is your VirtualBox guest, I generally let the guest think its connected to a wired connection, not wireless. That way I don't have to forward any devices to the guest and it just recognizes it's networked.
If you want Kali to use the wireless dongle (for testing) I'd boot Kali as a live session with the dongled wifi connection.

Right. Muffin Man describes the usual (and default) procedure.
As I recall, it's possible to connect a VM to the wireless modem - bridged connection, maybe - but why do you want to do that?
