Sort directories before files: solved

Post by dclement »

Well, I don't want to revive a 2-year-old post, but I eventually came up with a solution to this one!

The trick (from an XFCE forums thread) is to start dconf-editor, navigate to org > gtk > settings > file-chooser > sort-directories-first and select "true".

(I guess it can be done with a single gsettings command line, but I'm unsure of the syntax.)

Glad I solved that at last, it has plagued me for quite a while.

Hope it can help others, Daniel
