Guys, please, please, please, I'm begging you PLEASE, continue with the Mint Debian line.
Gnome version is a tremendous presentation of Debian on the home desktop and I have found xfce version to be my mental sanity saver in refurbishing older workstations.
I have bumped Mint Debian to my number 1 recommendation for home desktops and business workstations.
Absolutely tremendous work as it evolves.
hands down, you folks rock.

Re: Finally, salvation
Linux Mint Debian makes a great desktop OS. Theres GNOME, XFCE and soon (I hope) Fluxbox to choose from.
Theres a thread about the future of Mint: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=65804

I am also thoroughly impressed with Linux Mint Debian. My entire experience with it so far has been completely positive. If it ever goes away then I think I will have to go to the root: Debian and see what I can do from there!
