anyone know how to install the pae-686 kernel?

ive been thinking of messing around with lmde,but,i have to install the pae-686 kernel and i havent the slightest idea on how to do so.tried searching google but came up empty handed id appreciate if someone could walk me through this.

Installing pae kernel in Debian based distro is quite straight forward

Get whatever your default kernel to run.
Then open synaptic, reload, key in 'linux-image' to search all kernels, you should see pae appeared
select it, apply, let synaptic install for you.

reboot and you can choose pae kernel to run.
