Perhaps you can describe the issue you're having?

system-preferences-displays

changing resolution dont take effect when i click apply. neither if then i click close. If i change the resolution and make it default-enter password- ,when i open again displays preferences the resolution didnt change. any change in the configuration makes nothing.

hope it is enough info. in other distros debian based i have not this problem. this is the only distro i am using with mate. could be that? drivers seen to be installed correctly

thanks

Afraid I don't know much about Radeon hardware. All I can suggest is installing the proprietary driver (I forget what ATI calls it) and its GUI control panel. You may have to go to ATI's website and download the driver from there, but I believe the control panel is in Software Manager.

Do you think i can copy the settings of a distribution that works good into the lmde. i think the drivers are the same, it must be a problem with the configuration. I can not find the configuration files(xorg.conf). do you know how are graphics configured in lmde?
