Good morning all,,,,,I have LMDE2 mate in a vbox hosted by win 10 on a HP laptop
I want to disable the touchpad. After searching I only found "ktouchpadenable" in
software center. I think that is what I want, but I don't know how to use it.
Can anyone advise please?

Re: disable touchpad
I opened search in windows. Typed in "mouse". Clicked on "more options".
Clicked disable when external mouse id present.
It turned off the touchpad in the vbox also.

This is the problem with running in a virtual machine. Windows settings and device drivers tend to get in the way. You can't run the Android tools "adb" and "fastboot" in a VM either, unless you have the Windows drivers for your Droid already installed and loaded. Since Android is basically a version of Linux, no drivers are required to run these tools under Linux directly.
