My new to me laptop will suspend OK but, it will never recover to the page I was on. It will simply re-boot. Apart from being awkward, I'm worried that the rather abrupt re-boot is not exactly good for my system?
Which program is responsible for administering the suspend and can I adjust it to instruct it to wake from suspend correctly, rather than re-booting?
I believe I have plenty of swap active and available plus RAM so I don't think it's a memory issue,
Thanks
I've also noticed that if I use the System Monitor under Administration it displays all my partitions, but not the swap partition. Is this normal and if not is this part of the reason why suspend doesn't work correctly? If I do the normal checks for swap, they all pass as in free or top and swappiness is set to 10.
Suspend works but only to re-boot
