I have a few questions about my install.. (I'm new)
installed Mint LMDE2 on YOGA3 14 ...need an idea to to solve this ugly and noisy shutdown SOUND...any hints here ?

I assume you have installed the Cinnamon version.
You can disable the sound by going in the system parameters (control center). Then find the sound section and click on it. You have access to all the sounds produced by the system in the 3rd tab. Disable the second one, and you won't hear a logout sound anymore.
