How to set zoom as a percentage in xreader?

Post by 0x2620 »

Don't see this setting. Irritating not knowing what zoom percentage I'm at, you'd think there would be a label somewhere with this information.

Xreader is based on an older version of Evince and appears to have changed how you zoom with Linux Mint 18.2. Evince does show you the zoom percentage and allow you to set the zoom percentage or fit the page by height or by width to the window. You can install Evince through Software Manager (its display name is also "Document Viewer" though, so you may want to remove Xreader). There is already an issue reported to Xreader developers about desire to both see and set the zoom percentage: https://github.com/linuxmint/xreader/issues/149

Off-topic but that animated avatar image is both creepy and annoying...

I'll wait for them to fix it then.
