Hi, I've been trying to test LMDE 2 on an older, backup machine using a Live-USB. Unfortunately the boot fails giving the error message "wistron_btns: unknown key code 10", which it repeats continuously if a non-quiet boot is chosen. I found a reference from 2012 at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/926012, which was an Ubunutu bug.

Can anyone suggest a solution for LMDE 2?

Hardware

• Acer Travelmate 2303LM
  RAM 2GB (graphics 32MB, set in bios)
  CPU Intel Celeron M 340 32bit
  Graphics Intel 852GM/855GM x86/MMX/SSE2

I couldn't solve the installation problems using a Linux Distribution. So I tried Windows 7, which runs much better than XP which was on it originally. Pity, but I don't use it much and a bare-metal Windows machine is on occasion useful as backup.
