I am using LMDE 2, 64-bit.
I originally configured my HP Officejet 8610 using CUPS.
I now have installed hplip and hplip-gui (v. 3.14.6) and I believe that I have configured it correctly to use my printer.
However, when I want to print something, it is not the HPLIP window that pops up but the CUPS one (system-config-printer). I would prefer that the HPLIP windows be the one that comes up whenever I want to print.
How do I do that?

Me too, up-to-date.tb75252 wrote:I am using LMDE 2, 64-bit.
FWIW, I also have HPLIP and the HP Device Manager installed (managing an HPLJ), and I do not have the problem you are describing. Hence I suspect a misconfiguration on your end.tb75252 wrote:I now have installed hplip and hplip-gui (v. 3.14.6) and I believe that I have configured it correctly to use my [HP Officejet 8610] printer.
