Mozo opens in terminal but not by clicking 'Edit Menus'.

Postby Trapper » Fri May 12, 2017 7:50 am

LMDE2 64 MATE

I can launch mozo in a terminal. I cannot get mozo to launch after right click on Applications in the panel and selecting 'Edit Menus'. It worked many moons ago but this is the first time in a long, long while that I've attempted to use the feature. I checked .config/menus and all file permissions are set to the myself. Any particular reason why I have this launch problem?

+1 with MATE 1.18 update but MATE 1.18 "Added support for Menulibre menu editor, if installed it is preferred over Mozo."

I just installed menulibre. It does launch using the right click. I cannot say I am a fan of menulibre though. I find mozo to be much more intuitive. I've purged menulibre. I'll just run mozo from a terminal. Thanks for the info though.

Added 05/16/2017:

Using mozo opened in a terminal I created a mozo launcher in the menu. It works the same as the "Edit Menus" is suppose to launch. Perhaps someone knows what file I have to hack to get the "Edit Menus" working with mozo again. That launcher works for Menulibre when it's installed but when it isn't installed that launcher does not work for mozo, as it did previously. I'm wanting to fix that situation for mozo until such a time comes when mozo is no longer provided as a menu editor.

Sorry, it was yet another regression in mate-panel 1.18. We have it fixed now in version 1.18.3.
Please wait for Clem to push the update to the repos.
