Shadows in MATE?

How do I turn off shadows on the edges of applications?

Poke around in the system/appearance menus and look for something like "window manager".
Mint 18.2 Xfce/fluxbox/pulse-less - Xubuntu 16.10/fluxbox/pulse-less

I already did, hence why I posted.

apropos leads me to x-window-manager (not it, I think) and mate-windows-properties (definitely not it). The search continues.
