Rsync size of filename

Postby ehamings » Sun Oct 29, 2017 1:37 pm

I am using Rsync to transfer files.
I have an error for files with big size name: "File name too long".
I wanna know if I could transfer these files and conserve their name.

Thank you

Please give an example of a file name which is too long.
Are you copying from ext4 to ext4? or ext4 to NTFS?

That might be a bug

What does

Code: Select all

rsync --version

say?

DuckDuckGo "rsync" "File name too long" you might find a fix.
