Hi all.
I have been using LMDE2 quite happily for some time now and all was well. Unfortunately, after swapping out a Radeon HD 5670 card for an R7 360, Cinnamon crashes upon logging in and asks me if I want to restart, which of course does not help. I'm stuck in a half-functional MATE fallback mode. I tried installing the fglrx driver (man, this system is archaic! no amdgpu option showed up in Synaptic) to no avail. I am able to see via hardinfo that direct rendering is not working. Vendor, renderer and version are "unknown".
Where do I go from here?

Oh well, I'm giving Fedora 27 another go. I gave up on it since it was freezing seemingly at random (Ryzen 5 system). I guess disabling C-6 states in the BIOS is supposed to fix that. We'll see!
