Authorisation prompt in wrong account trying to mount USB

Post by Andy-A » Fri Jul 31, 2015 6:16 am

Just before Windows 10 was released (or did it escape?), I launched a pre-emptive strike and installed LMDE2 MATE on my wife's Win7 laptop.

As there's more than one account on this, I've noticed this problem:
using my wife's account, select logout, switch user and log into my admin account.
Insert a USB stick - nothing happens?
Pull it out again: popup appears 'Unable to mount USB2'
Logout back to wife's account and a popup had appeared there: 'Authorisation is required to mount USB2...' which obviously I can't see from my account...

Inserting the USB from wife's account works normally.

Same thing happening on my mum's MATE 17. She is a regular user with autologin, I am the admin. When I visit her I often switch to my account (while leaving her logged on). When I insert a USB in my account I get nothing, I need to switch to hers and authorize it from there.
