how can i install nvidia proprietary driver on lmde2?

i want to install nvidia proprietary driver for my nvidia geforce gt740m on lmde2

you have to do a search for the driver for your card.
does LMDE2 have a driver manager under admin or preferences? if so just use that to install the recommended driver.

No LMDE2 dosen't have driver manager ! i don't know why ?

Sorry I haven't been too prompt lately, been having eye problems. THERE IS AN EASIER WAY. Trust the Software Manager. Install package nvidia-detect and run it; it will not only identify your card, but recommend the proper driver for it. You may not get the very latest driver available but unless you're a serious gamer you won't notice any difference. Install the driver package indicated, it will do all the scripting for you, blacklisting the noveau driver and all, reboot and you're done.
