Need help reinstalling network-manager offline.
These days i am entirely dependent on WiFi; after seeing how efficient and stable wicd was on my Debian Sid partition i made the mistake of installing it from Betsy's repos. Turns out that version is some decrepit ol' granddaddy of the one on Sid and the few times i can connect it's only for a minute or so. I looked for LMDE 2 packages http://packages.linuxmint.com/list.php?release=Betsy but couldn't find network-manager..or missed it..and network-manager-gnome (i run Mate but that was the other package that got uninstalled with network-manager). Could you please tell me where i can get the .debs for network-manager and dependencies so that i can install them offline. And is there some manual post-installation stuff i need to do after i purge wicd and install network-manager?

Network manager is not LMDE package. It's of Debian.
To download it: https://packages.debian.org/jessie/network-manager
In the same page, it shows her dependencies.
