Re: wireless configuration
Hello mohit and Welcome to Linux Mint Forums,
First you need to give us a little more info on your system.
Which version of Mint? , Which Desktop? What wireless card if know. Computer make and manufacturer would help also.
What exactly do you mean stuck WI-FI network? does the wireless find networks which you can not access?
Things like that will help us to help you.

Re: wireless configuration
I am using LMDE betsy on hp pavilion-g6-2136tx. I am trying to connect it to Lava V2 3GB hotspot. Sometimes its automatically connecting as i’ve set “connect automatically” but it keep showing “configuring” message as i hower mouse on the Wi-Fi icon. And also internet doesn’t work.
Re: wireless configuration
I'm not too familiar with LMDE but could you go to a terminal and type this command and post the results here.
Code: Select all
inxi -nn

Re: wireless configuration
Here's the output!
mohit@mohit-pc ~ $ inix -nn
No command 'inix' found, did you mean:
Command 'inxi' from package 'inxi' (main)
Command 'init' from package 'systemd-sysv' (main)
inix: command not found
mohit@mohit-pc ~ $

Re: wireless configuration
That wasn't the correct command. It should be "inxi" and the portion after the dash should have a "z" to filter out the mac address. However more possibly relevant info can be found with
Also, is this an already installed LMDE orare you running on the live version on an installation medium?
Code: Select all
inxi -Fxz
Re: wireless configuration
Thank Penn (Typo got me) the -nn tag gives just the network card info. but Fxz will give it also.Penn wrote:That wasn't the correct command. It should be "inxi" and the portion after the dash should have a "z" to filter out the mac address. However more possibly relevant info can be found with

Re: wireless configuration
You didn't say if it is installed or if you are running from a live session (disc/usb). I will assume LMDE is installed. I don't even know if this can be fixed for a live session.
It appears that Broadcom card is an issue in Linux in general. Non-free drivers and all that.
Try an internet search for the terms "Debian Jessie Broadcom 4313" and I'm sure you'll find directions to get the right drivers. If the instructions include adding "non-free" to any file in /etc/apt you can skip that part since LMDE already has the non-free sources included (this could end up being important since 2 lines for non-free sources can mess up apt).
edit - I glanced at a search result and found this page https://wiki.debian.org/brcm80211 You can skip step 1 on LMDE for reasons mentioned above.
