I've been using Mint for a couple of years but new to LMDE2
I've acquired a USB WiFi adapter.
LSUSB = 148f:7601 Ralink Technology Corp which I traced to RT2800USB chipset.
Found the Debian page for that chipset: https://wiki.debian.org/rt2800usb
However when I follow installation step 1: deb http://http.debian.net/debian/ jessie main contrib non-free I get a message of: No Command deb Found.
Probably a my lacking LMDE2 specific knowledge issue, can anybody point me in the right direction please.
Moderator: moved to the LMDE forum from the Main Edition forum.

Re: Ralink USB WiFi install problem
Update...
I created file jessie-non-free.list in /etc/apt/sources.list.
Cut and paste: deb http://http.debian.net/debian/ jessie main contrib non-free into it.
Ran apt-get update as root and packages read.
Ran apt-get install firmware-ralink as root = firmware-ralink is already the newest version.
Connected USB wifi adapter = No wireless interface in network settings.
Progress but no success.
