G'day guys. I've got a friend who lives far way who is thinking of trying Betsy with Cinnamon. He's had some experience with Mint before, and he really wants to make sure you can set the output volume above 100%.
Here on MATE I can do it by right-clicking the volume icon and choosing "Sound Preferences", then adjusting the master slide above the 100% mark. Is there a similar option in Cinnamon?
Bonus question: why on earth can you set the sound above 100% anyways?
Cinnamon 3.0: sound above 100%?

Re: Cinnamon 3.0: sound above 100%?
left-click the volume icon-> sound settings and then you can put to 153% in cinnamon
Re: Cinnamon 3.0: sound above 100%?
I warmly welcome
I address with a very kindly ask for help.
I consider installing Linux Betsy 2 or LMDE or Linux version of Cinnamon 2.
Until now I had to deal with the Linux Mint version 17.3 and Linux Ubintu 15.4.
Both of these have had Linuxy option in the audio output possibility
increase sound to 200%.
I turn to of you dear to users with effective help that Linux or Betsy 2 Mate whether Cinnamon in version 2 will be more susceptible to modifications.
When writing modifications I mean installing of additional software, steering sound.
Or another option I'm thinking that a little more difficult if you can draw from
Ubuntu or 17.3 mint extract application that controls the sound and
a swapping the current Linux Betsy Mate 2 Or Cinnamon linux version 2?
I am asking for a quick answer.
Sincerely Luke

And I'm afraid that's the only part of your question that I understood. Can you please make it clearer? And please do not double post, it will not get you faster or better replies, and it's against forum guidelines.whitewolf1608 wrote:I am asking for a quick answer.

Also, let's keep this conversation in the forum where it belongs. No need to send me email.
Finally, another tip: a new question deserves a new thread. It's not a great idea to post your question to existing threads with other questions. So start a thread of your own if you have a question.
Yes, I understand that that's what you were hoping for, but it's still against the guidelines and it won't help. And if you keep doing it, the mods may ban you. Not a threat, just a warning.whitewolf1608 wrote:Welcome written in two places at the forum in order that I get faster reply.
