How turn turn off "checking for Cinnamon Spices" in Update Manager

How turn turn off "checking for Cinnamon Spices" in Update Manager

I don't use any Cinnamon Spices and would like to turn the check for them off in Update Manager. Is anyone aware of a method to accomplish this?

So did you check... the settings in the Update Manager? This looks like a likely candidate:

@Moem - It's turned off in Update Manager --> Edit --> Preferences --> Automation. Still checking for them.

Thanks for the quick reply. Might be a bug in the LMDE version of Update Manager. I don't recall it happening in the Main Edition Cinnamon.

failsafe feature for default cinnamon spices?
After all, one wouldn't want to miss out on a security update/ fix for existing spices ;)

I am using LM22 with mint-update 5.8.8, and the "Checking for Cinnamon Spices" still comes up even if I turned off that switch in Automation.
