ok BIOS tells me i have 16gig of ram
lmde 5 64-bit install and lmde 5 64-bit live disc
says i only have 8gigs of ram
anyone know why?

Are they install as recommended ? installed in the same colored DDR3 sockets, better to install them in the DDR3_1 and DDR3_2 sockets.
